my Dr. has told me Duvanta is helpful for severe head ache and fits. i dont find anything like that in the comments. is it true.....????
Hi,
It is a serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The name of the neurotransmitter is nor epinephrine it is different from epinephrine.
Most of the side effects occur during the period when one is taking the medication. But the important thing to remember is to follow the doctors instructions carefully. To reduce the incidence of side effects it is always started with a low dose and then it is gradually increased. Do not stop the drug on your own due to unpleasant side effects as it will only worsen your symptoms. Please do so only after doctors approval.
Thank-you kindly Dr, for taking the time to reply. I am a little confused, When you say that Duvanta20 is a serotonin & not epinephrine, what is the difference. The side effects stated are for the duration for the prescription period or are they long lasting ?. my doctor has recommended that i take it for 6 months (pardon me for asking such questions as i am curious to know as much as possible before i start the medication.thanks again for your time.
