EEG Results- Hand tremors, involuntary leg movements

Hello I am a 39 year old female who went to my PCP because of hand tremors, involuntary leg movements and then eventually all over body shaking/tremors that wake me out of my sleep almost every night now (it has progressed to this from 2 years ago when the hand tremors started). I was sent by my PCP for an EEG and blood work to rule out seizures and requested to come back in a month for results. My medical history is mitral valve prolapse/mvp (with murmur and palpitations that also wake me) not on meds for mvp, dyspnea, low blood pressure and anemia. My brother who had epilepsy died in his sleep at 38 (death certificate claimed heart attack but he did not history of heart problems)!? I just returned from my follow up/results appointment with my PCP and the report reads:

FINDINGS: Occipital background mixed frequencies Low voltage 10 to 11 cycles per second activity intermittent in posterior regions Low voltage 14 to 20 cycles per second activity present throughout including posterior During drowsiness/sleep increased generalized slowing is seen There is no activation Photic stimulation is unremarkable Hyperventilation not recorded Recording containes fair amount of muscle, eye and EK artifacts

EEG INTERPRETATION: Dysrhythimia grade 1, generalized, recorded drowsiness and sleep No activation CLINICAL

INTERPRETATION: EEG shows mild nonspecific changes which should be correlated clinically No epileptiform discharges I'm confused because before I left the PCP today he gave me a referral me to the same Neurologist who did the consult for the EEG that the PCP requested not sure if the neurologist will be doing more/different tests or is he sharing the wealth with the Neurologist? Anything you can tell me will be greatly appreciated my family and I freaking out because of what happened to my brother. If I have (or am developing-if that's even possible)epilepsy I will probably have to make some lifestyle changes for sure.

When you say tremors all over your body do you mean shakiness or almost like a jerky movement? A jerky movement would most likely mean myoclonus which can be caused by many things or it can be benign. Tremors can be caused by a pinched nerve or a number of other things.
Has anyone else in your family had tremors? That usually means that you are more likely to develop it as well.
You must remember that a neurologist doesn't only treat brain, spinal cord and nerve disorders, they also treat muscle disorders. Your PCP is most probably sending you to one to get more detailed testing done as neurologists do much more tests than a PCP would do.
Good luck and keep well
