Hi im just wondering the same thing, i wer diagnosed with epilepsy 16yrs ago and have been on medication ever since. I have been seizure free for around 7yr now so decided to request another EEG scan which the results wer normal. After 16yrs of taking medication i am now been told they think it was fainting episodes n not Epilepsy. I am now been weaned off my medication (Phenytoin, it has actually been 2wks now since ive not had any medication and i feel shocking i keep feeling dizzy n keep going white not sure if this is my body adjusting to the medication changes or i do really need the medication??
have i been wrongly diagnosed???
