ELAVIL, PAXIL, AND WELLBUTRIN

Posted By ROSE on November 03, 1998 at 21:24:58:

I am a little concerned about the medicines I am taking for Neuropathy and depression.    To me it appears excessive to be on 3 different anti-depressants.  I take 150 mg. wellbutrin Sr and 40 mg. Paxil - twice a day.  Before bed I take 50 mg. or 75 mg. elavil (contingent upon how well I can asleep).
I have heard some horror stories about elavil and paxil.  I just want to make sure I am not over-medicated, since you go to one doctor, and he prescribes something, you go to another and he prescribes something else without knowing all that you are taking.  Does this look about right?  Thanks for the help.
