ELECTRICAL SHOCK IN LEFT LEG

ELECTRICAL SHOCK IN LEFT LEG

Posted By HADA on October 01, 1998 at 21:13:42:

I started having electrical shocks in my left leg in about August 15th.
It started with one shock every other 2 days and now about 3-9 times a day.
The shock lasts only for one second and after that every thing is okay.
However, the shock is sometimes so strong that makes me scream because of
its surprise.
I have been diagnosed with definite pernicious anemia but I have been
taking 2000 mcg of B-12 every month for past 14 months even though I have
had low on B-12 for past 6 years.  The reason that I did not start treatment
sooner was that my doctor missed informing me of low B-12 test result
6 years ago. My previous MRI of brain showed lesions but my lumber puncture
test (4 years ago) was negative for MS.
My question:  What could be causing electrical shocks in my leg?  What is
your prognosis?  Could be lacking some kind of viatamin or mineral? Do
I need to take any special tests to diagnose the
problem?  Are there drugs to control the shock?
I would appreciate your response very much.
Thanks.
