EMG and Muscle Disease

Hello,

I recently got an EMG done and it showed muscle abnormalities in 3 muscles, 2 near my hip, the same muscle on each side of my body, and my right bicep. The EMG did not show any signs of myopathy or inflammation, per my neurologist. I also have muscle twitches, which she said were benign. The muscles that showed abnormalities had been and still are weaker than they were. My fear is that I have a muscle disease and it isn't yet showing up on the EMG. How rare is it for a muscle disease to not show up on the EMG but just show irregularities or abnormalities? Does it sometimes take awhile for the disease to progress enough to show myopathy or inflammation or are those present when the weakness is present? From my symptoms, I seem to fit into the metabolic muscle diseases, particularly Acid Maltase Deficiency and I am very scared right now. I dearly want it to be benign, but I just don't see how I can have 3 muscles weak, have the EMG show abnormalities, have them be the same groups of muscles as the aforementioned condition, and have it not be it eventually, even though the EMG currently does not show inflammation or myopathy. Any help as to why it would not show it or hope for why it would not show it is greatly appreciated. Thanks

My blood work came back, and my CPK was normal, which from what I've read, can happen with Acid Maltase Deficiency in the adult onset.

So, basically, my questions are the same as above, but also with the question that is it possible for the CPK to be initially normal with muscle weakness but then be abnormal later? would the lack of myopathy mean that the muscle was not breaking down? Thanks again for any help you can provide.
