Eagle Syndrome

I have seen a neurologist after suffering from jaw pain, vertigo, neck ache, earache, eye pressure and a feeling of needing to clear my throat for the last five years.  I have seen lots of people, tried everything you could imagine and had three teeth out to see if it would help.  He is ordering scans and suggested it could be Eagle syndrome.  I have read a bit about it now and would have an operation to reduce the styloid tomorrow.  Has anyone had this or heard of it?

I hope everything goes well for you I have heard of Eagle syndrome but like you and alot of other people including medical professionals , at least some that I have spoken to haven't. I have been experiencing the same things that you have for over a year now it was the VA that mentioned Eagle syndrome to me,they don't say to much about to me I think they are hoping it will go away, not that they don't care about the pain I'm in but I had a stoke with abrain bleed 3 yrs ago on the right side  and because of that they have placed me in ahigh wisk catagory for any kind of surgery but at any rate I sure would like to know how your surgery goes  and did it actually help with the pain.  mickie52
