Ear Pressure/Fatigue/Stomach Virus

I am suffering from ear pressure in my left ear that comes and goes.  I am also experiencing a myalgia in my forearms and sometimes my chest that come and go.  This all seemed to be enhanced  or triggered by a nasty stomach virus I had about two months ago.  Prior to the virus I was experiencing some Vetrigo like symtpoms, but not the muscle fatigue.  I was examined by ENT, had an MRI which ruled out any subcranial masses, had T3 T4 and white blood cell counts which were basically normal (except a slightly low White blood cell count with my PC doctor said is typical with viral infections).  At times I feel OK but something triggers an attack which leads to these symptoms.  Can a stomach virus have this type of effect and last this long?

I have not had a blood test looking for specific viruses.  I am seeing a neurologist in a week or so and ask about this.  Thanks for the information.

Testing for EBV is easy with a blood test ( Epstein- Barr Serology) Most of the population
have been exposed to it but for a few it continues to cause problems. It is related to the herpes virus and also has a link to mononucleosis ( glandular fever). I think that sometimes viruses can upset the midle ear and the delicate structures within causing
labrynthitis sx which you describe. Try not to worry too much because I think worrying and stress make the symptoms worse! I am sure that there are many viruses which have the potential to make you feel under the weather for a long while. Have you had blood tests to look for specific viruses?
