Ive been doing squats, leg press and dead lifts, also have a look at you tube Jonathan Boxall, piriformis stretch, I've had no shocks for 2 weeks, when you do the stretch for the first time, you may get a small shock but then it eases off, if this happens it's probably piriformis syndrome, hope this helps
I have the same pain . Five years ago I had it on my right leg nothing should up on my MRI they went in and did exploratory surgery and found bone spurs pinching my nervers. But they say that they grow back now I am having the same problem on my left leg behind the knee and another MRI shows nothing so now I have to go back to the surgeon again. Don't really want to have surgery again but can't stand the pain either. Good luck to everyone!
Did you find out what it was, if I point my toes to the ceiling I get the same pain, any info would be helpful
I thought i was the only one with this, i wish nobody had it, its the waiting for it to happen that really gets to you. After 12 months of no pain through deadlifting squatting and back extensions, the pain is back, I had 3 weeks off from the gym through illness, I have noticed when going to bed I lie on my right side the pain is in my right knee, put a cushion or pillow between my legs and it seems to stop any flare ups during the night, hope this helps some of you sleep better, but I still get the attacks during the day usually from sitting to long, my deadlifting and squatting took about 6 weeks to stop the attacks, the first time I got the pain I spent 8 months in physio saying the problem was in my back, they sent me for an mri on my knee, results came back normal, then I had back pain, I finally got the mri on my lower spine and found 2 slipped discs with a tear in one, I dropped physio and did my own rehab, I'm a qualified fitness instructor, about 10 years ago, so I know the basics, I stopped the pain in 6 weeks, I've been back in training for 2 weeks,I will write more posts to let you know how it goes hopefully it works again, I hope this helps some of you,
Was your pain in the back of the knee that came on at any time from 5 seconds to about 30 seconds, I would appreciate any information as I'm going through this again after 12 months of no pain. I stopped it by deadlifting squatting and back extensions but it doesn't seem to be working this time, thank you for any advice
I've had this sharp pain on the left side of left knee patella for 3 months now and noticed that it got really bad after I had too many cups of coffee! At one point I couldn't walk after having 3. So for the last 2 days I haven't had any coffee. I still don't know exactly the cause of the sharp pain, I've been to a doctor and he said it's probably not osteoarthritis. I'm 41 and walked all day as part of my job.
