Elongated Cerebellum

I recently started having migraines and dizzy spells. I went to a neurologist for an MRI. The test results show an elongated cerebellum. My neurologist said this could be causing my symptoms and is referring me to a neurosurgeon. What causes an elongated cerebellum? Are their medicines to rectify this? Is there a surgical solution?

Please post in the Chiari Malformation Forum also.  Sounds like you are describing a Cerebellar Tonsil herniation.  That forum has ALOT of info.

The best of luck to you if you do indeed have this.
