End of my rope

End of my rope

I'm struggling to find an answser for my symptoms...no one can difinitively come up with anything.

I'm 50, female.  Had years of muscle pain, diarrhea/constipation, a large numb area from my L knee up to L thigh, frequent migraines, extreme fatigue...all beginning in the mid-1990's.

Within the past year, pain is constant, has now included extreme pain in the joints.  I'm also having a lot of muscle twitching in my arms and legs, this can go on most of the day, and into my evenings while in bed.  I sleep restlessly, altho a sleep study concluded nothing, and am usually in pain throughout the night.  My blood pressure (during the past 2 years) has dropped from a normal 120/80 down to 98/68, and sometimes lower.  My vision is bothersome, becoming blurry at times, eyes are watery or gritty a lot.  My ears have been ringing since 1992...and the ringing has increased dramatically.  The fatigue is incredible, and w/ the pain, nearly too much to bear. During the past month, I am having burning in my feet and legs.  One night in particular, 1 mo ago, I awoke to incredible burning in my entire L arm...it felt like it was on fire!  I also have neck pain, and for many years, an 'electrical' shock that goes up the back of my head when I turn my head to the L.  This has all led to a lot of anxiety and depression due to the lack of diagnosis, or where to turn for help.

I was initially diagnosed with FMS in 1997, but other doctors say No.  If it is No, then what is it?  No doctor I have seen (a lot) can come to a conclusion...one said "tennis elbow"!  I have tried Lyrica--it does not help.  I have tried Cymbalta--this causes severe nausea and vertigo.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, as to the direction to take.  Thank you.

I have just been diagnosed with " absence of septum pellucidum" (sp)
I have some similar ( although not all) symptoms to yours and it was initially thought to be MS - a MRI scan showed no sign of MS but this abnormality in my brain which is in the area where you hypothalamus and othe glands are ( these control various bodily functions) - this is a " birth defect" and has not cure for itself - but the symptoms can be treated -
just a thought as it is a bit of a rareity -
Hope you get some answers -
