The specialist also said this case is very rare, but thats all I got from him. What are the implications of my babys health? Would it be safer for my baby if I have a cesarian?
Am only 20 weeks and was told during my 20 week scan that my baby's ventricles are dilated.
Luke your's, this is a bad condition if it doesn't resolve on its own.
Also i think it would be better for you to give birth by cesarean so as not to cause further damage o the baby's head.
I was searching the web for information and came across your post. I had an US done last friday and they told me that left side ventrical was enlarged and the right normal. Perinatoligist could not adequately explain this to me. I have a elevated risk of downs syndrome and the dr said this finding just took me from 1 and 71 chance of downs to 1 and 35. Really confused as to what to do. Did yours resolve itself, did you go on to deliver normal?
