I rescently had a baby and recieved an epideral and was told I might have spinal stinosis, a week ago I had sever back pain and have had an MRI and was diagnosed with a severly herniated disc.. I was wondering if their is any correlation to having an epideral and getting a lower lumbar herniated disc,

Hello.

The herniation of the disc is a complication of normal delivery itself, but it is rare. There is no strong evidence to prove that epidural anesthesia and disc herniation are associated.

Have you seen an orthopedic surgeon ?
And how is your little one ?

Hello.

There is a case report of prolapsed disc after epidural analgesia for labour.

Anaesthesia. 51(8):773-775, August 1996.
Forster, M. R. BSc, FRCA; Nimmo, G. R. MD, MRCP(UK); Brown, A. G. FRCA

This is a case report. And the other is yours. A strong evidence would be when an extensive study is done with a large number of sample.
