: Can you tell me what the minimum recommended interval is, for multiple
epidural injections for a herniated or bulging disc?  For a series of
three, would waiting two days between injections be ok?

Dear Jeff,
The efficacy of epidural injections must be evaluated on a patient by patient
basis.  For some the relief will last a week and for some it will last a day.
Most herniated lumbar discs will resolve if given enough time, and the pain
will improve.  The epidural injections are used to bridge that gap.  When
conservative management is not effective, a patient may be considered for
surgery.
Talk to your physician about his plan in your case.
Good luck.
