Essential Tremors

Essential Tremors

I am 70 years of age and to date haven't taken any medication, only vitamins including Q10.  All my sisters have essential tremors and I have them as well.  I don't feel they are too bad but sometimes I will start to write and my hand goes out of control.  All my sisters are taking Inderal 20 mgs.  If I start taking this drug, do I have to take it every day?  Can I take it along with my vitamins?  If I start it and then quit, will I have any side affects?  I truly hate to take any medication as I feel some medications can give you greater health problems.  May I have your opinion?  Thank you, Anna

Hello.

Inderal is a beta blocker. It may have some withdrawal symptoms if you stop it suddenly.

The benefits to risk ratio has to be weighed before you think of any medication.
