Evolving Anxeity

Evolving Anxeity

Alright so I have a question for you all. I went into the ER one night about 9 months ago with the sensation of chest pain, tightness in shoulder and back, pain in left arm, aching jaw, and face numbness. Went in thinking I was having a heart attack. After sitting in trauma for a bit with a few episodes spiking my vitals, they put me in a room. During shift change they did not record what had happened to me but after some tests, they sent me home with a heart monitor telling me that I had tachycardia but other than that they didn't know what was causing it so to record every episode (which I had basically daily if not multiple times a day). After about 4 really bad months with more testing (echocardiogram and stress test, blood work, etc.). It was ruled that I was healthy but just had anxiety.

During about month 5 I began to develop really bad headaches along with the other symptoms. About month 7 the other symptoms began to diminish a degree and the headaches began to get worse (ringing in right ear, trouble concentrating, trouble with eyesight, trouble swallowing, etc) not only that but before and after these events my head feels real fuzzy.

After trying different types of medication, nothing has quelled it and it is still an every day thing. I asked my doctor if it I should maybe get an MRI of my head but he doesn't believe it is anything more than anxiety and now wants to send me to an "anxiety specialist" aka shrink.

He says it is not migraines because I do not have sensitivity to light or sound (though I do get pissed off when people talk to me during an episode) I do get tunnel vision however with fuzzy vision.

I don't get afraid or a sense of doom anymore so I have a hard time believing it is anxiety anymore and believe it might be something more. It happens so often (at least once a day over the last 9 months) that I am able to ignore it enough to get through the pain until I feel normal again. I have started taking 800mg of ibuprofen and 500mg of tylenol and it helps to a degree sometimes.

Episodes usually last a couple of hours (2-5). Has anyone ever experienced this or have any knowledge of what is going on with me. I'm starting to think my doctor doesn't know what he is talking about (they do call it PRACTICING medicine for a reason). So I just want a second opinion.
