It is all right for a person with Myasthenia Gravis to exercise with weights....

Hi there.

For a person with Myasthenia Gravis, weight training may be tolerated but theoretically would lead to faster muscle fatigue and exhaustion.  One should also bear in mind the possibility of having a myasthenic crisis during exercise since this would constitute a high level of stress that can trigger a crisis.  I suggest that one should consult his or her neurologist first before thinking of such activities, and also make sure that the disease is pharmacologically controlled before engaging in such programs.

Regards and God bless.
