Extraordinary Calf Twitching/Spasms

Extraordinary Calf Twitching/Spasms

Hello
I am a 44yr old male.  And whilst I am sure my issues is not serious I would like to know what the cause is and if it may get worse!

For some years now I have quite an extraordinary amount of continuous calf twitching/spasms, in fact it is impressive to watch as the muscle deeply spasm.  Often this will wake me at night or my partner as my legs rest against hers. Is this link to calcium deficiency.

I have been a little worried that it may spread to other parts of my body!

Thanks
Phil

Sounds a little like Restless Legs Syndrome.  There is a forum at this website under Sleep Disorders, I believe, that people talk about it there.
