Extreme sensitive scalp

I have a terrible sensitive scalp, my son and hairdreser seen red and yellowish brown spots in my scalp in the area I am sensitive the most. Lately the sensitive area is getting worst, to the point of just touching I get nausea and loose my appetite. My Head Doctor just wants to give me Vicodin to kill pain. I need to know what is the problem, I dont want to cover the pain, besides Vicodin does not help with the sensitive area. I am desperate now, its getting worst. I normally suffer Migraines but this is nothing like a migraine, its all in the scalp, its way to sensitive.
