Eye muscle movements

About six days ago I noticed a slight, continuous fluttering about 1-2 centimeters under my bottom left eyelid. The fluttering has persisted and increased. I can't think of any type of trauma that could have brought this about. It is now starting to bother me as the movement increases. Does anyone know what this could be or what I can do to stop it?

This sounds like myokymia which is a benign condition involving involuntary contraction of the eye muscles. It responds either to medication or local injections of BOTOX which weakens the muscles,
