FITS IN SLEEP

HI THIS IS SUDHA MY MOM  WHEN SHE SLEEPS SUDDENLY SHE SHOUTS AND SHE BECOMES UNCONSIOUS AND SALIVA COMES FROM HER MOUTH.WHAT IS THE REASON?AND SOMETIMES ONLY HER HAND VIBRATE WITH PAIN

See a neurologist as soon as possible. People can have epilepsy where the seizures occur only during sleep. She needs to be tested.

we have done all tests everything is quite normal  i am not understanding wat tests we have to do please help me out i am very much worried

Dear Sudha,

Please check if EEG (Electro-encephalogram) is done. EEG usually reveals any seizure activity in the brain. Also ask her neurologist if they can get her Polysomnography done.

Your mother may have a partial seizure (limited to a part of the body), with or without generalization.

EEG should diagnose the condition. But a normal EEG does not rule out seizures. She may have to undergo 3 EEGs , each one month apart.
