Facial Injury

About a week ago, I had been hit by the back of someone's head at full speed (while playing football).  Immediately following the accident, the right side of my face went numb while my right eye was throbbing in pain.  After a couple of seconds, I had gotten a severe nose bleed that lasted roughly 30 seconds or so. I didn't exactly get a thorough check up after the accident, but the PA at college said that I just pinched a nerve since my nose is still numb and that it will go away in a few days.

It's been a few days now, and the numbness hasn't improved. What I'm worry about is that I may not just be a pinched nerve, but a slight fracture since my nose isn't shaped like it used to be, it is painful without medication, and it is constantly runny.  In addition, my teeth (the top right side) are still in shocked or something because I still can't feel them (and they aren't aligned like they used to be).  Also, there is a hard bump (like a bone) on the right side of my mouth's roof. And it seems like the right side of my nose is slightly deeper than it used to be. I have a bruise underneath my eye where it's still really really tender.

The PA only looked into my nose and said that there wasn't any blood which is good, but before I had the checkup, I had sneezed and everything was all bloody.. I think I cleared it out... Please help! I was thinking about giving it a couple more days to let the numbness subside before going in for a check up, but I'm so paranoid, I'm positive there is something wrong.  I just haven't been at eased for a couple of days now!

Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm, the PA ordered NO imaging of your head?  I would recommend that for starts.  Is there a MD available to assess you?

If this persists and/or worsens, you should seek emergent care and hopefully they will admit you.
