Facial numbness after trauma

I was hit in the face with a soccer ball pretty hard.  Since then the right side of my face has been numb from below my eye to above my lip.  It feels like I've had novacaine (sp?).  Is there anything I can do to make the numbness go away? It's driving me crazy!  Thanks!

Well, it seems obvious that you have damaged a nerve. I would go to see a neurologist about this. In the meantime take B1, perhaps 200 mg the first day, and 100 thereafter. B1 is rather like a food for nerves. I do not know if it will help in your case. But it won't cause any harm.

If you just had the accident, then wait a couple of days. If it was some time since you were hit, see a neurologist.
