Facing colonoscopy

I am in remission from RSD. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy yesterday, During the prep, I had SEVERE pain, passed out,kept having pale yellow vision on and off, SEVERE sweating, was very hot, then I was freezing and weak.  My husband called the Dr and he said to not d ... [More] o the 2nd dose. We went to his office in the am, he said he was going to reschedule the colonoscopy for the hospital, that's it, no other explaination. I am trying to find someone with Rsd that this has happened to, I really don't want to go through the prep again. thank you Lynda

The symptoms that you have experienced may be of a Syncope . A syncope is a brief fainting and may be associated with shortness of breath , dizzy spells , sweating , weakness and a racing heart .A syncope may be caused by an unknown fear of surgical procedure , this may have happened in your case . But it is important to check the cardiac function because most of the causes of syncope are related to a heart disease or condition . Please reschedule the preparation for the hospital because colonoscopy is necessary if colorectal cancer or other pathologies are suspected .Be relaxed and prepared for the procedure psychologically .
