Family Members trigger Cataplexy

by missatonia, Apr 16, 2008 01:36PM
It is interesting that your "cataplexy" is much worse around your twin. I have been diagnosed with Narcolepsy and cataplexy. I do not treat me cataplexy but rather literally try to control and avoid emotion. However my cataplexy is usually triggered by positive emotion. It is when I am around my younger sisters, family members (even cousins) that it is most evident and severe. It may be the comfort of home, or close personal relations with these particular people that  gets to me. It is definitely all positive emotions!

Have you had a clinical diagnosis since your last post?

This discussion is related to Narcolepsy and ticks.
