Febrine Fits

My 2years 10 months boy baby, was having slight feaver in the evening, at night while sleeping he started moving his arms and legs in an unusual style for some seconds, we lifted him and shown to a nearby dispensary there he became unconsious, some small form of salaiva wre coming out of his mouth, he wre not reacting even they put a needle to his fingure to check his blood, they said the gluco-meter reads 140, and the ECG was normal, after some massage he became normal within 10 mts
The doctor said its some sort of Fabrial Fits.
Befor 2 days he was having urinal track infection, and in the same day he was not able to take food, bcoz of womiting, he is very low in weight only around 7kgs
Like to know is it dangerous, or needs some neuro treatment?

Febrile seizures or fits are usually triggered by high temperature in children. They usually occur in children less in 3 years of age.
Simple febrile seizures usually do not cause any brain injury and the children usually outgrow them as they grow older. They carry an excellent prognosis.
Do you have a family history of seizures? If yes then it is important to seek a neurologist’s opinion.

In that case I think for reassurance you can consult a neurologist. However at the moment it seems to simple febrile seizures which have a good prognosis.
