Fibromyalgia treatments

  Good Day...I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which complicates my chronic daily headache condition to say the least.  I am wondering if Fibromyalgia is considered a neurological problem, that is would my neuro be up to date on treatments and info on this condition?  What are some of the typical treatment plans to help with muscle pain and morning stiffness?  Do you see patients in your clinic for this?  How long does a flare up usually last?  And what can I do about my restless legs at night as they wake me up three to four times a night??

*Fibromyalgia frequently presents to neurologists and most neurologists are
very familiar with its management. Rheumatologists also see this condition,
but the management approaches are similar.
*Typical treatments are based on the combination of physical therapy
relaxation techniques and drug therapy. Powerful/narcotic pain medications
are avoided but drugs from the tricyclic antidepresant group are used,
not for their antidepressant effects but for their effects on pain threshold.
*Numerous patients with fibromyalgia are seen in both the Rheumatology and
Neurology sections of the clinic with this condition.

*It is difficult to give a time limit for flare-up as this varies
enormously from person to person.
*Restless legs is a separate problem, and is usually tereated by neurologists,
it can be treated with the drug KLonepin, or Sinemet as an alternative.
