Flying

In June 2000, I suffered a subnarachnoid hemhorage of the right carotid artery in my brain. I was first diagnosed with fibromuscular dysplasia,,then a balloon catheter was inserted into my brain to try and stop the bleed..When this was not successful, a craniotomy was performed to have the aneurysm clipped...My question is this -- I have never  been on an airplane before. My family and i are considering a trip to the Caribbean next month. Is it safe for me to fly..considering my past medical history??

I know this post is late but I just joined. I had the same procedure done in 2000. I have flown several times since with no problems.
