: My brother has trouble with his writing hand.  Every time he writes the hand seems to cramp up.  He has been seen by a local neurologist but has not had a difinitive diagnosis made.  One suggestion was that it could be "writer's cramp"  and it is my understanding that this is a type of focal movement disorder.  Does CCF have a neurology subspecialist in this field so that a difinitive diagnosis could be made?
  Thanks

Dear Dennis,
I have spoken to the head of our section of Movement Disorders at the
Cleveland Clinic, he sees numerous patients with writers cramp and would be
happy to see your brother to confirm the diagnosis.
The Neurology department's appointments number is (216) 445 5559,
ask for an appointment with Dr Burns, in the movement disorder section.
I wish your brother luck with the evaluation.
