Follow up question to adverse reaction to Lupron

Thank you so much for your reply, I found it to be very informative. I now undertand why the 5mg's of Paxil was only  making my symptoms worse.  The Serzone has been extremley benificial in helping me to sleep for longer periods of time at night.  I am fascinated by the pulse generator that runs the release of the releasing factors in the hypothalmus.  Do you know where I can learn more info re: the pulse generator?  I have previously gone on the net for IVF info and was told repeatedly that Lupron couldn't possibly have caused my sysmtoms.  There is a site on the net called Victims of Lupron which is very insightful and you would be astounded by the number of women who have had adverse reactions to Lupron, the women who received higher doses, especially to treat fibroids have worse problems than I have, some have seizures which have not stopped.  The Dentist who opened this web site has a sister who has 100 plus seizures a day and was as healthy as a horse before ever receiving the Lupron.  It is also not approved by the FDA, only for 3rd stage Prostate Cancer in men.  It's difficult to get very far due the infertility Dr.'s not wanting anyone to know what all the potenial side effects are.  My goal would be to at least find a way to force these Dr.'s to give an informed brochure on the true potential side effects, so that at least women can make their own informed decision.  As a nurse I find it appalling that this is so neglected, most likely due to the loss of money not only to the IVF centers but the the pharmaceutical company Abbot too.
Now that I've taken up too much of your time, I will end with one more question.  What are OTC alpha agonists?  And where is the research being done on the releasing factors in the hypothalmus?
