I don't know if you can help me or not but I don't know what to do. Several months ago I started having pain in my footAthlete's foot Athlete's foot, tinea pedis Clubfoot Clubfoot deformity Clubfoot repair Clubfoot repair - series Diabetes foot care Diabetic blood circulation in foot Diabetic foot care Erythema toxicum on the foot Foot pain in my big toe. The pain has spread up my footAthlete's foot Athlete's foot, tinea pedis Clubfoot Clubfoot deformity Clubfoot repair Clubfoot repair - series Diabetes foot care Diabetic blood circulation in foot Diabetic foot care Erythema toxicum on the foot Foot pain and into my leg now and I have had no treatment and no results in the way of diagnosis. I don't know if I have nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity damage that can be fixed or what is available in the way of treatment. My pcp told me it's not a circulationCirculation of blood through the heart Circulation of lymph Diabetic blood circulation in foot Vertebrobasilar circulatory disorders problem as I originally thought. Also, if there are any other tests you think would be vitalVital-d in diagnosing the pain please let me know. I've seen two podiatrists which both told me to see a neurologist and I saw the neurologist. The testing I've had done is an x-ray, that showed no fractureFractures across a growth plate an emg and a nerve conduction study which were normal. I'm really desperate to figure out where my pain is coming from and if it can be corrected. I don't know if this is the cause but last year I rolled over my big toe with something very heavy but at the time it didn't cause pain so I'm wondering if it's getting worse some type of CRPS. I am thinking I have some type of nerve damage that is not being detected in testing. Whether it be entraped compressed or whatever I am not sure what kind of specialist to see or what kind of test to get since it would be a nerve in my foot. The symptoms I'm having are throbbing pain in big toe, toe isn't flexible as others, feels stiff and looks a little swollen. Severe pain that changes from foot to leg and is random, lots of tingling, general ache around top center of foot, lots of twitching, foot feels swollen when wearing a shoe, and toe in general looks darker red/purple. I did have an ingrown toenail in the big toe removed a few months ago but I don't think that is relevant. If you could please help me I would appreciate it. The podiatrists I saw and the neurologist have not been able to diagnose the pain or give me cortisone injections or treatment of any kind so I'm desperate to figure out what to do. My next step was to see an orthopedic surgeon but I thought the podiatrist would actually treat a neuroma but they told me they don't. I am waiting on results from an MRI. Please help!!!
It definitely sounds like nerve damage to me and podiatrists, I've been told, are not real doctors. I went to one with a foot problem, he had me on crutches for 5 months (during which time I was fired for not being able to work fast enough) anyway, after that I went to an orthopedic surgeon, a sports doctor, he said he never heard of such a thing, speaking about the podietrist's diagnosis. My husband had a pinched nerve and it sent shooting pains and he had tingling in his arm and lost the use of it till they took out a bone spur that was pressing on a nerve. I suggest you see an orthopedic surgeon, maybe find one that specializes in sports injuries.
