Hello.

In this case I would recommend that you should get an EEG (Electro-encephalogram) done. The EEG detects any seizure activity in the brain. Please schedule an appointment with your neurologist and ask him for an EEG.

Usually absence seizures last for a few seconds. But they definitely do not last for 10 minutes.

Hello,
Happy New Year to you also.  I am conscious the entire time.  The duration could be 60 seconds or more.  The more recent ones have lasted about 10 minutes.  Recently, it happened when family was present and this past Monday at work.

Hello.

I wish you a Happy New Year.

Can you please mention if you are conscious through the spell ? And what is the usual duration of each spell ?

Have others also noted the spells ?

Regards
