Although I'm not sure there's a particular neurologic syndrome that is manifest solely by frequent yawning, your daytime sleepiness may represent a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea or narcolepsy. Ask your wife if you snore excessively and then suddenly stop breathing at night. If you do, then it could be sleep apnea which can be treated with oxygen at night or surgery to remove any obstruction to your airway passages. Talk to your primary care doc about your symptoms and possibly getting a sleep study for further evaluation depending on his/her clinical suspicion. Good luck.
