GABA receptor agonist drugs, crippling disease

hi!  I've discovered that to treat my crippling sleep breathing disease I need to use an alpha GABA agonist like klonopin or ambien.  is there a medication that is even better like clorazapete or GABA acid OTC?

what does this mean, which disease do I have?  Thanks!

Depakote is really too strong for me if I don't have seizures and have only sleep apnea twitching, hypnic jerks, PLMD?

there are newer drugs like ambien and maybe sonata lunesta which activate the GABA receptor like benzas but maybe with less side effects.  does anyone know how to cure my sleep apnea?  the klonopin is effective somehow

the epilepsy medications for PLMD or hypnic jerks seem to have too many bad and dangerous effects like loss of memory, liver damage

it may be that clorazepate is a better since it has low tolerance development.  I've been suffering for years w/75% oxygen and was in a terrible car accident and have bell's palsy and my neurologist didn't treat my sleep apnea.

my eye had gone blind from bell's palsy weakness and is going weak again, will it go blind soon?  I'm trying to exercise it

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Well, without knowing the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to comment specifically on your clinical condition. The choice of the medication would depend on the clinical symptoms, their severity, desirable effects, the side effect profile, the presence or absence of comorbidities etc. Classifying one medication as better over the other is largely rather relative based on individual profile. It would be best to discuss the situation in detail with your treating neurologist for suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

but then if you take klonopin ambien and GABA does that permanently damage your though processes

it may be that GABA doesn't cross the blood brain barrier and theanine may be more effective in creating an inhibitory effect and helping deep, restful, healing sleep
