GREAT ARTICLE LINK!!! & Is there anybody out there? G'Bye Forum!!

well I guess I'm just gonna have to support myself, bottom line, there is no support here. My posts too long. Well this is my last one. Brachoradial pruritis is the itchy arm condition brought on by some form of degenerationof the cervical spine....so it is made worse by sun;ight. Pls read the following article. I have spent countless hours reading everything ever written on this condition. This article explains a lot in simple terms we can all understand.

http://www.drbaileyskincare.com/blog/what-causes-itchy-arms/

And I have a cervicle radiopathy, IOW, I broke my neck 30 yrs ago in a car accident and had my C4-5-6 fused. No problems until this itching. And as crazy as this itching is...making me, it's not enough to get relief from the nerve that is being compressed as a result. When it is lightly compressed it "excites" the nerve transmitters to the dermatome (place on skin) that corresponds with that particular root nerve between C5-6. I supposed a harder compression would result in pain, and for that, there is spinal surgery to relieve the compressed nerve. So until I get to that point...I guess I will be spending mores sleepless nights...scratching away at what's left of the skin on my arms & shoulders...grabbing the peas & corn and whatever else is left in my freezer,,,and accepting my fate as prepare for the zombiepocolypse. What else is left...I'm so tired I can't even think anymore. Sionara forum...

Could you please post this information over on the Allergy forum?

I think it would be most beneficial over there!

I have been asked about these symptoms a dozen times or more in the past month on the Allergy forum.

I copied and pasted the link you added, but maybe if you were to post about your past experiences and symptoms, it may help the others over there.

Most people have boiled it down to allergy symptoms and have gotten no where with their doctors.

Thank you so much for your enlightening post!!!

I am so sorry for what you have been through.
I wish there was something we could do for you, but the majority of people posting on here are not doctors. We are housewives, mechanics, students, etc.
My mother has been going through this same thing as you for years. She's been told many different things, but this is the first time that I have heard that is could be linked to a degenerative back issue.
That would make sense in my mom's case! She has osteoporosis and many other issues including diabetes.
I will certainly pass this information on with her!
Thank you for this insightful post!!
