Gadolinium the new problem

I have been having pain right after a series of MRI contrast. Every other test has been clear. I have been pushed about as if I am crazy. Is it that every authority on the subject of MRI's and gadolinium regurgitate what has been written. Has the medical community completely shut off their cognitive reasoning.

Yes it is true gadolinium is non-radioactive. But that does not mean it is safe. Gadolinium is a lanthanide. It is a heavy metal. It has a few properties when its temperature changes and when exposed to magnetic waves. It has to be chelated when injected into the body. Why? BECAUSE IT IS TOXIC in its free state. Mercury, lead... heavy metals as well.

Chelate is when the a bond is created between 2 things. Your body chelates iron in your blood. It removes things by chelating. There are chemicals that when added to things can make them somewhat safer. DTPH-gd3 or something like that is gadolinium with DTPH. The DTPH chelates to the gadolinium and makes it soluable in water and keeps it under wraps. It flows in your blood and creates outlines that are viable when exposed to magnetic waves.

Here is a FACT. Some people suffer from a rare condition that when given gadolinium their calcium levels drop. This is because the bond created with the DTPH prefers things like calcium and zinc. When it drops the gadolinium for these other metals you know have free gadolinium. Everyone no matter who will have a certain level of this problem. And consider that not every batch of the chemical is perfect. People with kidney problems are unable to remove the gadolinium quickly. DTPH-gd3 have a half-life of 2~3 hours, which means that in that time 1/2 of the gadolinium is removed from the body. The bond in Omniscan and the like is not really stable and breaks down quickly. This means that if you are unable to remove the toxin in a certain time, the greater your chances of having more free gadolinium in your system.

I was fine till after the MRI's contrast. I keep hearing the same thing. Just because the FDA says one thing and that it has been used since 1988 and on millions of people means absolutely little. The ADA still says mercury fillings are great, and they make 5 million in royalties every year dispite the younger generations of dentists who refuse to use it and all the evidence to the contrary. I could go on, but because it is prolific does not mean it is 100% safe.

People have different levels of tolerance. People with good kidneys remove the waste rapidly, however, some will de-chelate. You will get some in your system.

I know the literature I have read it. I have talked to "professionals" but no one can answer me intelligently. The companies that produce these drugs make money. It does not benefit them to start a discourse on its possible failures. I am an econometrician. I understand statistics. The tests done can be made to say anything. Depends on what you leave out.

Fact
gadolinium is a heavy metal

Fact
It must be chelated to be put into the body

Fact
I can de-chelate and will do over time.

Fact
Everyone who gets gadolinium will have some in them

question
How do you remove it?
Can your body remove heavy metals on its own?
What can we do to help remove it?

I read one study and only one where the author claimed that gadolinium is removed from the body at less than 1% per day. Is this true.

If you know of a good resources post it.

Thanks.

Which Herbal detox system are you using? Is it okay if I use it if I have silver fillings.

April 3, 2017 I had a brain MRI with contrast. I haven't been the same since. They gave me 15 cc of Dotarem. I have tingling, numbness, burning, coldness, headaches, chest pain, muscle fatigue. Please say no to MRI contrast. It will ruin you.

I was told by a friend to take mineral drops to balance my PH and help with everyday reactions.

I take Eiton Multiple Mineral Drops, B Complex, Magnesim, D Mannose, Probiotics as a daily regimen. I walk in the heated sun 80+ Degrees to sweat it out. I do not have access to a sauna.

It's harder to write and walk now since I have constant muscle fatigue. So I have to address each issue separately. So I am adding more acids to my diet for muscle fatigue. I am adding more beets and lemon to my diet to combat liver and nervous system problems. I was told that my compliment was down to 12. This helps us fight off immune system problems like colds and pathogens.

Since I have several auto immune system diseases like Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, IBS along with having 7 plus Mercury fillings it definitely makes it a challenge to chelation or detox.

One session of chelation is equivalent to 23 excretions. That seems dangerous and taxing on your body and organs. Some feel better and some don't. Some get worse and end up having kidney failure since the body can't keep up with removing waste that fast.

Yes, food does naturally remove heavy metals. I am not sure of the percentage.

I heard great things of Bentotite clay and Spirella and Zeolite as well. People rave about it on Amazon. I am sure how well they work. Be careful with Zeolite since most have lead and aluminum in them. Doctors say it's safe but trust your instinct. It's safe now and 10-20 years from now it won't be.

I hope this helps. Let's all pray for each other. We need answers, treatments, and cures because we are the forgotten ones.

My naturopath put me on taurine powder. 1/4 tsp per day.  Has helped with my pain quite a bit.  Also made magnesium lotion (but you can buy the gel) and apply to my spine and bottom of feet. Helps too.  Still, no answer on what is an effective chelation agent though.  Doing what one can to get by day to day meanwhile.

Our gadolinium issues are making progress in the medical community. A doctor out of NC had named it GDD!  Gadolinium depository disease. People are finally listening...I hope!

GodsKidPita, how are feeling now,   can you help me out what to do for tests and to remove it from body.
Rocky, I have not made progress personally.  I think I may have found some new resources though.  I will certainly keep you posted.  Be well, pray always!

Andrea, there is a group on FB called Gadolinium Toxicity Illnesses.  People are telling their stories.  See ProPublica's recent articles.  Left in the Brain: Potentially Toxic Residue from MRI DrugsLeft in the Brain: Potentially Toxic Residue from MRI Drugs.  I was featured in the article.

I am incredible sick for 2 years now from gadolinium poisoning, and no main stream doctors have been able to help and its hard to find a place that does chelation's.  I think we should all open a civil law suit against this horrible thing happening to people and from this contrast and get this thing to stop once and for all and get help for our severe pain it has caused.

Well, I just found out I have Gadolinium poisoning as well. 0.538 (reference range is <=0.019) I haven't had an MRI since I was a kid (I'm almost 34 now)  but had a ton of vaccines in the USAF right when the problems started about 6 years ago. I had anaphylaxis and got discharged. Does anybody have any insight on the use of Gadolinium in vaccines?
I just started on an herbal heavy metal detox. Pretty darn sure it's working. Terrible taste in my mouth, dry mouth, and my nervous system is wonky, drank a ton of water and couldn't hold still. Little bit of anaphylaxis. Starting to feel better now though.

I had 1 MRI and 2 MRA's with contrast 4 yrs ago.  Found out I have lyme
disease and co-infections plus super high heavy metals including very high
gadolinium.  I have been having chelation treatments for the past 6 months.
With the chelation, my creatinine corrected levels of gadolinium in my urine were:
3 ug/g of creatinine ( 1 year ago )  3.6ug/g, ( 6 mo. ago ) 3.4ug/g ( 2 mo.ago).
I just had another Toxic Metals test from Doctors Data ( $60.00 plus doctor
fee) without using provacation ( my chelation was Ca-Edta and a DMPS push)
No gadolinium was detected without the use of chelators.  Some of us cannot
excrete it on our own.

What type of chelation did you do? Are there any gentle ones out there?

Hello,
I too have what they think is Raynauds or Erythromelalgia (flushing of hands and feet, intolerance to heat, warm baths, etc). Within a week after having an MRI with gadolinium I developed a severe burning pain in my entire urethra along the entire length of my penis. This pain wasn't when urinating but sitting or standing doing nothing. I tried 4 hot one-hour baths back to back 1 week apart: after the first one my burning disappeared (I tried to replicate what Germans do -- hyperthermia for prostatitis). But after the 4th bath both my entire legs turned beet red for about 10 minutes which alarmed me. Within 3 weeks I developed what is Raynauds or Erythromelalgia, The MRI was Nov 8, 2014, it's not end of April 2015, and I still have these problems that interferes with my life, no doctor has a clue, all tests are negative, some digestive assimilation and elimination problems, lost lot of weight. I read that EDTA binds to gadolinium well, but I would need some proof that it works and that it's safe. Please don't hesitate to write me m i k i _ z @ h o t m a i l . c o m.

I am very interested and need your help too!!! I just had 2 doses of gadolinium given to me with sets of MRIs, both over a 2 week period. The last dose was on the 6th of this month (March) and about a day and half later, I started having excruciating kidney pain and body pain. I feel like I am dying and the ER Doctor made jokes about it and said "he was going to attribute it all to nerve pain" despite my letting him know what happened and that this is most certainly not nerve pain. Will you please please help me? I am and have been mostly bedridden ever since this started.. I'm praying for real help.. and that we all can get the help needed. This is unbelievable... go there for help and then end up in complete misery.
Thank you gaddoc for offering your help!!! God bless you!!!

which contrast agent did you have and where I had multihance in my shoulder and feel like I am getting some lower grade symptoms after about 1 month. have you had blood or urine tests to see what residual there is. I am looking to get these done to have a baseline for how much I have left as I would think that the removal from the system would be more random in a joint as there is much less blood flow. hope we can all find a path to better on this real issue
