Growth on skull

by hl22, Sep 21, 2008 01:49PM
I'm 18 yrs old and have a large ping-pong ball sized growth on the side of my head behind my right ear that is as hard as bone. I have had it scanned when I was 10 or 11  and it was not malignant(doc said it was just bone). Recently others have said they have noticed growth in this lump and it has recently been pushing the ear piece of my glasses into my ear causing irritation, but there is no pain in the growth itself. I recently went to my health department to have it looked at because of this, but the doctor didn't know what to tell me and had me make an appointment so another doctor could see it and so they could think of who to refer me to. If this is just bone and part of my skull can something like this be removed?
