Have you had the same symptoms?

Have you had the same symptoms?

This post is significantly shorter than my last.  I need help from folks...please let me know if you have had the same symptoms and if you have any idea what the cause is?

First, it was recently discovered that I have a thiamine deficiency (vitamin B1).  I have bilateral numbness and soreness of my arms and legs, hands and feet and very sore calf muscles at times.  I have a dull pain that does gets better and worse below the left ribs.  I also have this terrible constricted feeling when I lay down for bed at night...the feeling is in my abdomen/chest.  I have alot of pvcs.  Finally I have sciatica and pain that shoots down the right leg to my foot.

I realize that the lack of B1 could be the cause of alot of these symptoms, but I do not know what the root cause is.  Any comments will be helpful to me - thanks!

Still having symptoms - B1 supplements do not seem to be helping.
The worst is this constricted feeling that I get in my chest and in my arms and legs (numbness and weakness in arms and legs as well).

Anyone with similar issues?

Have you considered Addisons Disease or Adrenal Insufficiency?  Have your cortisol levels checked - the 24 hr saliva test is best taking measures at 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 12am.  Also consider getting a ACTH test done.

I have most of the symptoms you have and have gotten back normal results on most things.  The only abnormality was a low cortisol level.  I am now following this up with a new doctor.  My previous doctor won't seem to shift from her IBS diagnosis even though most of my symptoms are neuro - dizziness, brain fog, difficulty focusing eyes, the weird eye stuffy thing.  I also have bouts of numbness in my hands and feet and calf pain.  I now have the orange stools you mentioned in an earlier post and weird low blood sugar issues and racing heartbeart.

Do you have any skin rashes?  How is your tolerance to heat and exercise?

I'll post any results I get here but it will be several weeks before I see my new doctor.

Hi,
I'm not sure , why or how do you blame all yoursymptomes on B1 deficiency?...especially the constricting pain/discomfort in the chest/abdomen? you may be getting a radicular type (nerve root compression) pain...ask your neurologist  about having an MRI of the T spine.

God bless
