Head Pain/Pressure

Head Pain/Pressure

Hi i have Myoclonic epilepsy and take 500mg of eipilim night and morning. I was diagnosed ten years ago at 21. It was sudden and in ireland i had to wait for nearly 8 months until i got prescribed my medication. All that time i was sufferring constant jerks every few seconds where my brain was having mini seizures, my wrists and legs, arms etc would jerk.

This caused serious pressure in my head and i was unable to turn my head but had to move my whole body. I couldnt walk or talk properly because i would not know which foot was going to move forward if i picked up speed, so had to take it slow. Also i would bite my tongue constantly. I could go on but i think you get it.

I ended up having serious pressure in my head even today. The more stress the more pressure, like im studying now and i am getting serious pressure. The waiting list in Ireland to see a neurologist is now two years even if you pay for private care. there are 20 neuros for 4 million people.

So its pretty disgraceful considering the last 15 years of wealth we generated in Ireland, but thats a different story.

Anyway i always told neuros about this and they would increase my epilim until i was so zoned out on meds i never had any clarity of thought, i could never concentrate.

I found piracetam on the internet and got it prescribed to me, it helped me alot.

Has any one had a similar problem. My neuro, well the last one i saw said the pressure is not a symptom of epilepsy, may be its stress. I said it gets worse with stress but its not just stress. I mean i have dealt with stress and it deosnt mean i have had a sore head, its obviously connected to the epilepsy some how.

Can anybody advise me as no neurologist in ten years in ireland has a clue.??????

Also i always have had weird negative thoughts when trying to sleep involving some kind of accident, i think it may be the little jerks i had because when the epilepsy started i got these thoughts, like i was going to be knocked down by a car or fall off something etc. Is that common too??????

Thanks in advance
