Are there other signs or symptoms present? Was there an injury to your head previously? Cluster headaches usually presents as deep, nonthrobbing and severe headaches which may be located behind the ear and may radiate to the forehead and temple regions. Sometimes, there is also tearing of the affected eye, nasal congestion, and nasal drip. The individual is often awaken 1 to 3 hours after sleep with the headache in its full-blown state. Smoking, alcohol ingestion and napping often precipitate attacks. Over-the-counter pain medications typically have no effect on the pain from a cluster headache. Medications to treat cluster headaches are classified as either abortives or prophylactics. It is best to discuss which treatment option is best for you with your doctor. Well sometimes I will just feel really light headed and I have been in a depressed mood ever since this has started. I just figured it was because I am worried. The pain never wakes me up and it seems to help when I lay down on that side. But not in a little spot on my scalp it is tender. I dont know why I just felt it. It dont hurt when I come my hair just when I touch it an things. No I have never had a head injury, so that it not the reason. So are you thinking that it might be cluster head aches. I know I need to get my glasses changed, but I have had headaches befor and this is not like a head ache just an annoying pain that comes and goes.If you could help me try to figure it out I would greatly appreciate it. Also it is not continous. It will stay with me for about 2 or so weeks then go away for 2 or so weeks then come back
