Head Pressure

Finally realized I am not alone with the head pressure problem. Tried to find the answer to the cause of this continuous pressure in my head working with my physician, going through multi x-rays, CAT Scan and other procedures with no results or answers. Reading  posted message I was amazed of the exact description of the head pressure I have. I am 36 years old female, do not smoke, like doing sports, drink half glass of red wine with my dinner. I am experiencing  severe head pressure, ear ringing, sound and movement that make me jump out of my skin. My blood pressure is normal.  says: ' I was diagnosed with SHINGLES in my cranial nerves and central nervous system. Six weeks of acyclovir and poof head pressure gone. The down side of it is, it caused permanent nerve damage, so some of the symptoms may never go away.' I have been taking acyclovir on and off when I  had cold sores attacks. My questions are: does acyclovir affect  central nervous system? Can you please give me more details about the diagnosis: ? When  says: 'The down side of it is, it caused permanent nerve damage, so some of the symptoms may never go away.' I want to know: 'The down side of WHAT caused permanent nerve damage'? Does acyclovir has anything to do with it?

Thank you for that info - I have never heard of that before.  I wonder if my doctor has.  But that web site does a wonderful job of putting my symptoms into words.  I think I have the papilledema, and the headache is more of a dull sensation but pressure nonetheless.  I will suggest this at my neuro appt this Friday.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but a question - how did they finally diagnose your problem?  Also - are you sure it isn't aspartame related?  I did all the healthy stuff also, and seem to have similar symptoms.  Just Google aspartame poisoning and do some research.  I get a CT scan today....
