Head Vibrations

I need to find out why I keep getting what I call head vibrations.  About every 3 months I get this vibration in my head its like something in there is just vibrating, its not spinning I have balance so vertigo has been ruled out.  I went to a doctor the other day and he told me its migraines but yet I've never had a headache so severe that I couldn't handle it.  The one thing that stops this vibration is an antibiodic.  I've normally had sinus problems so each time this problem arrived I would go to the doctor giving them systems of a sinus infections in return they'd give me a antibiotic.  Now that its discovered I don't have sinus infections I questioned why the antibiotic works, and the conclusion I've came to on my own is there's some type of infection in my body.  But I'm still not sure is there any help someone can give me so that I catch whatevers going on hopefully sooner than later.  By the way this has been going on for 3 years.

Hello.  This is Dr. Dickason.   This note is to let you know that there are more and more people complaining of vibrations of unknown etiology in their body.
I have had vibrations of my head, or more accurately, my scalp for the past three to four years.  It feels as if there is a cellphone buzzing in the right posterior area of my scalp.
The theory I am working on is that this is occipital nerve irritation in my case.  The one thing that helps is numbing the nerve with Bupivacaine.  I have a history of trauma to the area of my scalp that vibrates.  Prednisone helps at times and antibiotics have been used when there is an infection brewing in the same area.

But there has been sudden onset of vibrations in my left lower leg long before the vibrations in my scalp.  There was no reason for this to occur that I can see, and the vibrations seem to herald leg swelling for which no regular medical cause could be found.  In other words, no infection, blood clots, trauma, etc. could be the reasons for the swelling.

This is why I want to study the possible effects of certain frequencies that can be found in our environment (WiFi, cellular, electrical or fiberoptic wiring) that may be causing us bodily harm.  There are also the newer things such as Havana Syndrome where people also experience vibrations, vertigo, hearing impairment/tinnitus as a complex of symptoms.  I am finding that long before Havana Syndrome, there are people who claim they have had the same symptoms.  They are not government workers, or diplomates.  More important, nobody here is crazy!

So why is this happening?  My contention is that medical scientist are not looking in the right places to find out what this process or disease is about.
Please respond to me at ***@**** if you wish to explore answers to the body vibration phenomena.

Have you all found out what it was?  I have the same symptoms.  Mine usually start with a stuffy nose for about 2 weeks. Then I feel the vibrating when I lay down at nights for a few nights.  Then I will start to feel it all the time.  If I take steriods then after about 2 to 3 days it lessens a lot. After I start antibiotics it goes away after a few days.  I'm clear and good for a week or two and it all starts again.  Anyone find out why they are doing this??

Hi all. I am new to this site. I too suffer head vibrations. Its like putting a back massager on your head. My vision vibrates with these spells and I get dizzy with them. It seems to be worse if I look down. It doesn't happen all the time but it always reminds me that it is there and that another spell can hit at any time. It even happens sometimes when I am driving. I think that I suffer sinusitus and I almost always have sinus pressure. I don't know what is wrong with me but it scares the peanut butter out of me and I have been going through it for quite a few years. Any ideas?

Yyes, exactly. Like putting a massager on head. I feel the same way. At times I feel like I'm right on the verge of a major dizzy attack which happens every few months ir so. The dizzy attacks is debilitating. Putting me in bed unable to get up for several days. Most often than not in between these spells is this strange vibration in my head and at times a wave feeling as well. Sometimes waking me up at night. Been happening a few yrs now.  Hear so many different diagnosis from ppl. Drs have no clue..
Indo have ETD. So ent thought possibly a cause.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
It is a very unusual problem and it is difficult to give a straightforward answer. There can be many causes of head vibrations like insomnia, fatigue, low blood glucose, neuropathy and sinusitis.
It is very difficult to tell why this symptom gets relieved by antibiotics when there is no sinus infection. Did you undergo CT scan of sinuses just to make sure?
