I've had CT/MRI and and EEG the EEG came back with abnormal brain waves. Now they want to do a 3-5 day study which i've been waiting on since the end of August.
Please help! I need some answers and I am not getting any
In answer to your question, the MRI is very good at seeing tumors. The EEG can show if you've got a seizure problem, which the short test did. So, the direction your neuro is taking with his diagnosis is that probably seizure activity is the cause of your symptoms, and thus he's going to run a longer EEG. See, you can have seizures and NOT have a tumor. Seizures are caused by all sorts of things.
So, while you wait for them to arrange a study, you should read up on seizures, do a general search online about seizures and epilepsy and abnormal EEGs, and you'll get a better handle on what that health issue involves, causes, kinds, and treatments.
