Headache, nausea and blurred vision

by Kristi__0, Sep 08, 1998 12:00AM

For five days I have had a terrible headache not specifically in one area.  It feels as though my head is about to explode.  Along with the headache I've had vomiting beginning on the fourth day and dizziness.  I haven't had a good night sleep since Thursday.  I've been taking Excedrin and it seems to help some, when I can keep it down.  Is there something that will work better?

Thanks for your question.  If you are not a person prone to having headaches,
or this current headache feels much more severe than your usual headaches,
you should seek immediate medical attention in the nearest emergency room.
The presence of nausea and vertigo is of special concern.  There is a fair
chance that you are just going through a particularly "nasty" headache, but
much more serious neurological problems can also this pattern of initial
symptoms.  Once again, use your best judgement, and if these symptoms are
unusual for you have it checked immediately by a physician.
I hope this information is helpful.
