Headache and tingling / numbness in fingers
My boyfriend is 48, in good health, former body builder who had used steroids (no longer), caucasian.

Since last summer ('08) he has been experiencing constant, moderate to severe headaches (not localized to any one part of his head) plus severe numbness / tingling in his fingers; most severe in pinky and gradually decreasing to the rest of the fingers (both hands, but more severe in the right hand).  The symptoms are constant, with occasional bouts of severity.  When these bouts occur, he also experiences pain throughout the rest of his body, back in particular, plus vertigo and lack of appetite.  The severity of the headache and finger tingling always accompany one another.

Acetaminophen and Ibuprofin are ineffective; Naproxen sodium offers slight relief.

No fever, BP normal, bloodwork normal.  MRI & CT negative / inconclusive for MS and other issues.  Stress tests negative.  Neurologist finally suggested psychiatric eval.

Only diagnoses offered is possible MS, though as mentioned before, scans were inconclusive.
