Headache on top of head

by Elizabeth888, Aug 23, 2008 08:10PM
I get these headaches that come on suddenly and feels like the veins on front top of my head are being painfully pulled up - with painful pressure on my head, like my head is in a vise.  It's a sharp pain that lasts for a few seconds, but it makes me dizzy.  The bridge of my nose seems swollen.  I have gotten this 3 times within the last month or so.

I'm not sure if it's a sinus headache, a tension headache or something more severe.

Hello Elizabeth888,
Do you get repeated sinus infections?Usually sinus headaches do not occur at the top of the head.It could a referred pain or could be due to migraine. You should consult a ENT specialist and get the assessment done.
