Headaches, numbness, dizzy

I have been having migraines for about 4 years. In Dec of 2006 I was diagnosed with hyperinsulinemia. In the last month, I have had these wierd episodes. Not like a normal migraine. The left side of my body, usually starting with my arm, goes numb with a kind of burning feeling. My vision gets blurred and I feel light headed or dizzy. Sometimes my vision randomly gets blurred, without the headache. I'm walking, sitting or doing nothing and it comes out of nowhere. I just can't see. I'm 24 years old...too young for anything serious?? I don't want to go back to the doctor if it's just part of the headaches or the flu or something that isn't important. What should I do????

I think you should see doc asap too. Unfortunately 24 isn't too young for something serious. It's the numbess  on one side of your body that's of concern. Might be a TIA, a mini stroke. Same for the "just can't see" symptom too. That's not normal. Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

Abbie: I think you should go to the doctor asap.  The doctor needs to do some tests to narrow down potential issues.  MRI of your brian & Neck is what I would ask first so you can rule out any serious stuff.  You can also do a quick EKG at ur doctor's office to make sure that is ok too.  A complete blood & urine work is needed too. Check also for hormone imbalance.  Don't be scared, but push your doctor until you find answers.  Godo luck
