Headaches after resection

Hi, my daughter has JPA grade 1, she has undergone two posterior fossa craniotomies, and she now has a VP shunt.  After her surgeries, the headaches always came back.  Always on her left side, ( the side that had the cancer, which was in/on her cerebellum--mass was also in her 4th ventricle--6x5x6 cm..)  she gets aweful headaches, to which her  neurosurgeon isn't concerned, we are now on the "we'll see you in a year" fix....and yes, scared to death with these headaches, because they are so aweful and painful.  She is now 13, the tumor damaged  her hypothalmus--she dosen't get hungry nor does she desire to drink.  She is 5'2"...and 81-84 lbs...she claims that some times the front of her head also h urts, and she can feel popping ( like she did with the orginal tumor)  the scary thing is now the pain is going down her neck...also on the left...Because  of her issues with intercrainal pressure, they won't perscribe morphine, so it's tylenol, and or aleve...Doc feels that he has resected all the cancer...and that she is cured...Forgive me for not trusting him...only time will  prove that this beast is gone...Has anyone else gone thru this,and what did you find out?  It kills me to see her in such pain....
