How are you? Waking up in the morning with a headache is common especially to women between the ages of 45 and 64. This could be caused by sleep apnea, teeth grinding, restless sleep, or even restless leg syndrome. Sleep apnea is a very common sleep disorder wherein you stop breathing numerous times during the night causing the brain to wake you just sufficiently to start your breathing again, but you are not aware of being woken. This results in very light and disturbed sleep which often means that you wake in the morning with a headache and tiredness. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management. With regards to your migraine before going to sleep, You must also have this treated with migraine medications and to avoid the triggers that cause it. Take care and best regards.
