Headaches on left, along with left side rib cage pain.

I'm a seemingly healthy 25 year old male and for about 3 weeks now I have been having sharp quick pains in or around my left rib cage area and the pain shoots up to the left side of my head immediately.

I went to the doctors and a chest x-ray was done, along with blood work, all came back negative, and he told me that it was stress, this was 2 weeks ago.

If it was just pain in my rib cage area I wouldn't be worried, the pain on the left side of my head everytime I get a pain in my rib area is concerning to me.

Neither my rib cage or my head is sensitive to touch.

It is a very unusual case. Do you remember getting hurt in the chest?
Pain in the rib cage could be due to inflammation or chondritis which can occur after a viral infection.
Viral infection will give headaches as well.
A thorough physical exam is needed to make a diagnosis.

I didn't hurt myself that I know of. I did have a physical in february and the doc said everything seemed fine, it was a quick examination though.

Earlier in the year I did see a neurologist as well.
He did a test in which he put metal plates on my hand and touched different spots along my arm with an electrical conductor.
He also tested my reflexes, and ran his knuckle along the bottoms of my feet. He also said that everything seemed fine, and sent me home.
